The Haida Sails Resurgence Project in partnership with Swiilawiid Sustainability Society and the Council of the Haida Nation are honoured to host a Gathering of Pacific Peoples in HlG̱aagilda, Haida Gwaii at the Haida Heritage Centre.

As Indigenous Peoples, we have worked to uphold the ingenuity and knowledge passed down to us from our ancestors that have allowed us to live within our traditional territories since time immemorial. Through navigation of the open ocean on canoes equipped with woven sails, we have used the ocean as a highway to connect with relatives near and far. As Pacific Peoples, we have always been connected
